Building on a foundation of dyeing through the historical recreation group the SCA, I teach foraging, harvesting, and using natural dyeing to a wide variety of audiences. When not running around dressed like a Viking, I am a wildlife ecologist with a focus on assessing and managing endangered/at-risk species.

Note: SCA refers to the Society of Creative Anachronism: it "is an inclusive community pursuing research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat and culture": www.sca.org.

Update: Hopefully the International Fungi and Fiber Symposium will be held in 2022: https://iffs2020.myshopify.com/
