How to Dye with the Usnea Lichen

How to naturally dye with lichen in the genus Usnea, including identification, where and how to ethically forage and dye to create colour from it. This lichen provides rich deep browns on wool and is easy to use as it requires no mordant (skip pre-processing your fiber to allow for colours to uptake). All in all, this is a great starting place to dive into dyeing with lichens from nature.
